Reading

Problem:  Your child is getting older, you've tried several different approaches, you have checked the vision and hearing, and though they are fine (or not) you suspect a processing and hearing problem.  Where can you go now to find some success?

Solution;  Even though this curriculum can be used with any child it was my lifesaver for the above problems.  The Stevenson program attacks reading in a manner that an older student won't find embarrassing and gave us quick success. One of the main features that helped us was an approach that began with long vowels.  They are much easier to hear!!  Mnemonic clues are given for rules to aid retrieval and avoid rote learning which for those with problems leads to impulsive guessing and wandering.  It was fun.  The activities cover reading, spelling, vocabulary building, handwriting and more, all with only 3-5 minutes on each.

Affordable?  Yes!!!!  It was even cheaper than regular programs.
